Novel study this is so fun.

In literacy I have done a novel study it is when you choose a book that you have reed or you choose a book and read it and you have to do a list of tasks that the teacher gives to you and you have to get 40 points.There are different amount of point there are 1,2,3,4,5 point.This is an example of one of the 5 point questions:What part of the story would you change and why?  This is an example of one of the 4 point questions:Pick one of the main characters,think of a shape that fits that persons personality (traits).Draw the shape and describe the character inside the shape.This is an example of one of the 3 point questions:Did this book remind you of anything that has happened to you? what? why?This is an example of one of the 2 point questions:What was the problem in the story and how was it solved?This is an example of the 1 points questions:Make a list of fact that you have learnt from the story.And there are way more questions than that it tuck me about 1:45 minutes it is so so so fun. please comment!!!

Readers part: Narrator, Pig 1, Pig 2, Pig 3, The big bad wolf

Narrator: Once upon a time there were three little pigs happily living their
lives until the big bad wolf came and when the three little pig saw him they
ran to their houses pig 1 went to his straw house, pig 2 went to his wood
house, pig 3 went to his brick house so the wolf went to pig number 1

Wolf:Little piggy can I come in?

Piggy number 3: See you guys later I’m out the back door.

The most interesting math.

In math today we did 3D isometric drawing that is when you draw a shape and make lines at the back of it like the image below it is really fun and interesting.

Maths: How to read a Map.

In math's we have learnt how to give a six figure grid reference and how to plot bearings on a map from point to point. You can also have a 4 fig grid reference which would make you look into a 1000m x 1000m grid. We have learnt the points of a compass and how to read bearings up to 360 degrees.

The best banana smoothie in the world.

How to make a banana smoothie

1.Get a banana.

2.Get a blender.

3.G some milk.

4.Get some icing sugar.

5.Take the peel off the banana and chop the banana in pieces and put them in the blender.

6.Put 2 tsp of icing sugar in the jar so the smoothie will get thick.

7.Put the milk in the blender.

8.Put the lid on the blender and blitz it up.

9.Put it in a cup and enjoy.

How to write a good comment

1.Compliment the writer-be positive and specific.

2.Add new information-e.g. add another fact you know.

3.Make it clear who you are commenting to.

Three Flies_Lucas

Three Flies_Lucas 

There are three flies are in the disgusting changing room of the All Blacks at half time.
The All Blacks are losing 30 nil because of their disgusting behavior on the pitch.
The first flies name is John the second flies name is Sam and the last flies name is Dave.
When they got into the second half the flies followed the All Blacks out onto the wet muddy cold pitch
and they were going to verse England so John, Sam and Dave thought lets distract England.

“Sam go to the left,”John said.

“John go to the right I will stay in the middle,” Dave said.

After the second half started, the flies started to distract England and the All Blacks got a try and
this went on for about ten minutes until the score was exactly the same.

“John and Dave I'm hungry and want to get some food,” said Sam

“I'm hungry as well where do you want to go?”said John

“I want to go to the trash in the changing room,” said Dave 

So they went to the changing rooms and went straight to the trash and devoured the food in the bin.
About 30 minutes later the flies lost track of time and the All Blacks came in, someone
saw the 3 flies and they looked up and saw them.

Sam said, “Let’s get outta here boys.”

“NO!!!” said Dave.

“Na mate I’m too busy stuffing food into my mouth,” said John. 

“OK I’m out bye boys. This is the last time I’m seeing you boys,” said Sam.

“OK bye” said Dave and John.

 At the same time Sam flew away and Dave and John got swatted by a player’s towel, yuck.

In this summary I will be telling you about New Zealand's best pie.The best pie is the mice and cheese. Patrick Lam from Tauranga bakery has been crowned for the seventh time for New Zealand's best pie.

Science Inquiry.W1 and W2

On Monday we started our science project. At the start we had to decide what we are making. Aidan and I are doing soap. at first we had to go on the Internet to get a recipe and write it in our own words. Aidan and I have finished our recipe so we can start our project today or next week.

My learning goals.

These are my learning goals for the term.

Try and finish all the work that Nogo gives to me.

Try not to detracted by my friends.

Try to finish my work fast so that I can get on to the next task. 

Technology

Yesterday I went to technology and it is were we go to do different stuff like wood work, metal work,fabrics, cooking, plastics, electronics and Digi Tech.The room that I am in here is the wood work room. I was making a photo frame. 

Minecraft

In term one a group of us played minecraft as an opportunity to learn how to build a house and to use our imagination.The students were from year 5 to year 8 and the students that came were sorted out into groups of about 3 or for me was in a group with Aidan and Alex. Our goal was to make our dream home we made a two story house on the bottom floor we had the lounge  and the kitchen and dining room and the bathroom and on the top story we had all the rooms and a bathroom and it took us until the middle of term 3 to finish it.

Snake.

Snake is a really fun game it is when you are a snake and you have to eat apples and  you grow and  if you hit the wall you die and if you hit your body you die and you start again.PLEASE VIEW MY BLOG.

Careers.

Last week we had the year 6's come in hand have a look at our careers that we have been working on in the past 8weeks.On week one we did quiz on careers nz and we had to anwser 78 questions and then we chosen our top 3 careers then we narowed it down to our top career.After we got our top career we had to present it.My career was earthmoving machine operater I did a slide show of what I have learnt.

Tecnology

This term I have been going to tecnology at phillpstown school.At technology is when the class gets spit up into groups and the groups are 7a,7b,7c,7d,8a,8b,8c,8d and every group gos to different activitys like metal work,wood work,fabrics,foods,plastics and digitech.I am doing digitech and in that I had to make a robot go and make it stop in front of a wall and say warning.And in alictronics I have just finish my lamp.
