Falcon

                                                                The Falcon

Scientific name: Falco

I chose this bird because the falcon is imaginative and creative and they have a great sense of humour.

The falcon is not intelligent because their brains are devoted to their eyesight and hunting behaviours and learning how to hunt; however, they are a bit more intelligent than an owl.

There are 38 species of falcons and 1 out of 38 is only found in New Zealand, the New Zealand falcon.

What is the falcon afraid of? If you make a decoy bird or put a rubber snake that will scare the (domestic) falcon; in their natural habitat falcons are scared of real snakes, larger predator birds, and wild cats or dogs (like coyotes) depending on where they live.

The Falcon can be found in many different habitats ranging from grasslands, tundras, deserts, coastal areas or different types of forests. It 's very adaptable and can live anywhere it can find food.

My mascot is the Falcon, firstly they are imaginative and creative, next they are not intelligent birds because of their brain size and lastly there are 38 species of Falcon.
